Linn’s projects during 2005 are outlined below

 

The Making - Basingstoke - February 05
Linn was invited to run a workshop for families and children to design, make and take home their own artistic creations.  Linn led a workshop to create masks inspired by Valentines day, carnival and masquerade.

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust - March 05
Richard Watson, the Education Officer at Langford Lakes Nature Reserve  asked Linn to work with pupils from Great Wishford Primary School to design and build three benches based on water invertebrates, and other wildlife that can be found on the reserve.


 

The Making, Basingstoke - May 05
Following the success of the mask making workshop earlier in the year, Linn was asked to run a further workhshop at the Popley festival at John Hunt Secondary School by The Making - Contemporary Art, Craft and Design centre which is scheduled to open in 2007. During the day Linn worked with over 150 festival goers from across the community making masks to celebrate the fesival.

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust - June to September 05
Linn is working with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and Woodlands Primary School pupils to produce sculptures to decorate a heavy industrial fencing area located near to the school and nature reserve.  Watch this space for more information.

Forres Sandle Manor School, Fordingbridge  - June 05
Linn returned to Forres Sandle Manor to work with year 3.  Their project this term was studying Native American Indians.  Linn asked the childen to collect beads, cuttlefish, slate, feathers etc to carve and combine with clay work to create jewelry and hangings

Wickham Primary School, Fareham -  June 05
Linn worked with years 1 and 2, introducing the pupils to paper making and producing a hanging based on the A to Z of nature. The work was inspired by the schools fantastic nature area..

Salisbury Arts Centre - July 05
Linn led a summer workshop for 9 to 12 year olds exploring the possibilities of using wire and recycled materials to create wonderful sculptural works.  She has also been asked back later in the year to run Autumn paper making workshops for adults.
